PRESS-SERVICE
Moscow School of Economics Continues to Accept Applications to Its Master Program
July 29, 2004
MSU Moscow School of Economics (MSE MSU) has started accepting applications for the second batch of 2004. The School Admission Committee will be accepting applications during the month of August.
The decision to provide non-repayable grants for the first year of the two-year program pertains to all second batch applicants. Moreover, the two best regional students will be provided with grants for the whole program. The number of places is limited. The second batch is restricted to only 12 (twelve) students.
During the first-batch application process mostly Moscow residents submitted applications and completed the examination and stood the interview. The second batch was initially meant to provide an opportunity for everyone (including those from remote areas of the country) to put their knowledge and abilities to the test by trying to get admitted to one of the best educational institutions of Russia.
One of the major tasks of MSE MSU is to train specialists for local governing bodies. The School administration is convinced: regional students become the best employees in regional administrations, local higher educational institutions, and subsidiaries of large Russian companies.
Alexander Nekipelov, MSU Moscow School of Economics Director, Academy Member, emphasizes: “The idea of a second batch is justified. The decision to set up the School was made relatively recently, and many regions received this news just now. We believe the second batch means extra chance for talented people from the regions.”
There will be no educational, administrative or any other differences between the second- and first-batch students. All students will study the same program, have the same access to research work and equal chances for successful studying and future career.
Admission requirements are identical. Applicants must have a sound knowledge of mathematics, economics, and English. Application documents can be submitted until September 3, 2004.
You can find more information on the School website (www.mse-msu.ru) or by calling the MSE MSU program secretary, Grosheva Ludmila Afanasievna. The telephone number is (495) 510-5267.
